Did Belarus start a war with Lithuania for maritime access? No, that's not true: Belarus has not ever declared its intention to invade Lithuania to gain the sea outlet. These are the fantasies of "TikTok mappers": content creators who call themselves "mappers" because they publish a variety of maps and information, but sometimes they have no concrete evidence to support their claims.
A video (archived here) was posted on the TikTok account @yalubludetey on May 30, 2023. The caption in Russian reads (as translated by Lead Stories staff):

The subject of Belarus allegedly declaring war on Lithuania can be seen in the Russian-speaking TikTok segment, for example here or here. A keyword search in English "Belarus declares war on Lithuania" has gained about 9 million views at the time of writing. A search for the phrase "Belarus declared war on Lithuania" using Google News' index of thousands of credible news sites did not turn up any factual reports that Belarus intended to invade Lithuania for any reason.
