Fact Check: Lukashenko Did NOT Say Ukraine Will End Putin's Presidential Rule Doctored Audio

Did Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko say that Ukraine will end Russian president Vladimir Putin's presidential rule? No, that's not true: the audio has been manipulated and posted over images of an actual speech by Lukashenko.

The claim appeared in a TikTok video (archived here) published by the user kolitikaua under the title "Soon Ukraine will end Putin's presidential rule." The audio over a picture of Lukashenko opened:

The era of the Russian President rule is coming to an end

This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

During his annual address to the people and National Assembly of Belarus, Lukashenko spoke about the war in Ukraine and urged peace talks. He also mentioned a counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (28:02), calling it the worst that could happen as it would deprive the countries of a peace dialogue.

The full video of the Belarusian President's speech can be found here.

The extracts of the address by Lukashenko to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly were used to create other hoaxes by the same Tik Tok account, like here and here.
